Recap of September Spice

Thanks to Jessica for hosting the September Midwest Wine Club "meeting." A great time was had by all....all 3 of us! While still fun with just a few of us, as they say, the more the merrier! Hopefully we'll see some more of you in October! So I'm not sure if Jessica and Jen would agree, but my favorite wine was Jen's contribution, which, sorry, I have no idea what it was called. Jen, do you? It think it was from the Cote-du-Rhone region though. Jessica did a great job on the food, and I loved the veggie pizza she made (feel free to share the recipe with every one Jessica), and the spicy garbonzo bean salad.

So any volunteers to host October's Midwest Wine Club? We typically try to aim for the third thursday of the month, which would be October 21st, but this is a flexible date if it doesn't work for our hostess, whomever she may be!

September Spice - Don't Forget!!

While technically still summer there is a chill in the air recently so why not embrace it and heat things up with an evening of Spicy Red Wines.

Fist Midwest Wine Club Recap

Our first Midwest Wine Club was a success. Allison, Bridget, Jen, Kristine, and myself all had a good time. Our favorite wine was the one Bridget brought. It was a toh-kai. It was light, not too dry, and not too sweet. So perfect for everyone.

I've attached some pictures from our first get-together. Looking forward to September's Wine Club (the third Thursday of the month, September, 16, 2010). Let me or Kristine know who would like to host it.

Time for Diddy Style

The theme for this month's Midwest Wine Club is the White Party, much like Diddy's All-White Party in the Hamptons each summer. That means white wine (or champagne) and white clothes. Luckily, Dean has white hair (mostly) so he will match everyone.

Just a reminder that August 19th will be the first montly wine drinking event at my and Genevieve's place. We've got an idea for a theme, and will give you the details as soon as we solidify them. We're thinking something to celebrate our "hood." Get your gansta gear ready!
